Setup guide

IBOXX Player is a paid app; its activation fee goes to the developer, separately from your IPTV plan. Whether it plays 4K depends on the model, so check the spec sheet before choosing 4K feeds. Plans are prepaid and never auto-renew, and you have 7 days to ask for your money back.

Before you start

  • IBOXX Player's MAC address and device key, which it shows on its start screen
  • Developer options visible on the Fire TV (About > select the device name seven times)
  • A 25 Mbps line handles one 4K stream comfortably; HD needs roughly 10 Mbps per screen
  • A faster way to type: the Fire TV app on your phone has a keyboard

Step by step: IBOXX Player on the Fire TV smart TV

  • Pick a plan length, send the order on WhatsApp, and keep the reply open: it holds the server URL, username and password.
  • On the Fire TV smart TV, open Settings > My Fire TV > About and select the device name seven times. Developer options appears in the menu; you need it only if IBOXX Player has to come through Downloader.
  • Search for IBOXX Player from the Fire TV home screen. If the Amazon Appstore doesn't list it, install the free Downloader app, allow it to install unknown apps, and enter the download address published by the IBOXX Player developer.
  • Open IBOXX Player on the TV and write down the MAC address and device key it shows on the start screen.
  • On the IBOXX Player website, enter that MAC and device key, add your playlist (M3U link or Xtream details), then restart the app on the TV.
  • Let IBOXX Player download the channel list and guide (a minute or two the first time), then add your regular channels to favorites.

What you'll see on first launch

After you add the playlist online and restart IBOXX Player, the TV shows your playlist name and starts loading channels. The first load on TV hardware can take a couple of minutes; after that, live TV, movies and series open from the home screen.

Troubleshooting

  • Playlist missing after you added it online: confirm the MAC on the website matches the one on screen, then restart IBOXX Player.
  • Buffering on sports only: run a speed test on the Fire TV smart TV. Below about 25 Mbps, use the HD version of the channel.
  • Guide off by an hour or more: check the Fire TV smart TV's time zone first, then the EPG offset in IBOXX Player.
  • Picture but no sound: set the Fire TV smart TV's audio output to stereo or PCM; some soundbars refuse surround passthrough from IPTV feeds.

Small tweaks, smoother playback

  • Turn off motion smoothing if faces look plastic; leave it on for sports if you like the effect.
  • Install TV software updates; the app store serves builds matched to your firmware.
  • Switch the picture mode to Standard or Sports for live games; Vivid looks harsh on compressed feeds.
  • Playlist name: give it a clear name on the website so you can tell playlists apart.
