Setup guide

IBOXX Player is a paid app; its activation fee goes to the developer, separately from your IPTV plan. On a phone or laptop screen, HD feeds already look sharp; 4K only pays off on a 4K display. There's no contract and no card on file waiting to be charged again: plans are prepaid, with a 7-day refund window.

Have these ready

  • IBOXX Player's MAC address and device key, which it shows on its start screen
  • Enough free space for the app and its guide data
  • Budget 10 Mbps per HD screen and 25 Mbps per 4K screen, then add headroom for everyone else online

Installing IBOXX Player

  • Choose a plan on the pricing page and order on WhatsApp; your server URL, username and password arrive in about 60 seconds.
  • Open the Play Store on the Chromebook and install IBOXX Player; it runs as an Android app in its own window.
  • Open IBOXX Player on the TV and write down the MAC address and device key it shows on the start screen.
  • On the IBOXX Player website, enter that MAC and device key, add your playlist (M3U link or Xtream details), then restart the app on the TV.
  • Wait for the first load to finish, open a channel to test it, and star the ones you watch most.

After you sign in

After you add the playlist online and restart IBOXX Player, the TV shows your playlist name and starts loading channels. The first load on TV hardware can take a couple of minutes; after that, live TV, movies and series open from the home screen.

If IBOXX Player won't cooperate

  • Playlist missing after you added it online: confirm the MAC on the website matches the one on screen, then restart IBOXX Player.
  • Buffering on sports only: run a speed test on the Chromebook. Below about 25 Mbps, use the HD version of the channel.
  • Picture but no sound: set the Chromebook's audio output to stereo or PCM; some soundbars refuse surround passthrough from IPTV feeds.
  • Channels but no guide: refresh the EPG in IBOXX Player's settings, or give it a few minutes after the first sign-in.

Settings that help on the Chromebook

  • Connect to a TV over HDMI for a bigger picture with the same app.
  • Keep VLC installed as a backup player for testing the stream.
  • Use Ethernet for 4K on a desktop or docked laptop.
  • Playlist name: give it a clear name on the website so you can tell playlists apart.
