Inside the news group
Breaking coverage, rolling daytime news and the prime-time hours built around big anchors. CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, CNBC, Bloomberg TV, and Fox Business lead the group, and 19 more news channels are linked below with their own pages.
The group looks the same in every player that reads the playlist, whether that is TiviMate on a Fire TV or a smart-TV app on a Samsung.
News by the numbers
- Channels with their own pages: 25
- Network families: NBCUniversal, Warner Bros. Discovery, Nexstar, and Disney
- Picture: HD as standard, 4K where the source allows
- Guide data: about 99% EPG coverage across the lineup
- Catch-up: up to 7 days on supported channels

Set up the group the way you watch
Start with the guide view: it shows every news channel with what's on now and next, so you can pick by program rather than by channel name. Favorites and hidden groups keep the list short from then on.
Getting more from news
- Use catch-up for the evening show you missed; it's quicker than hunting for clips online.
- Election nights and major events pull heavy traffic; a wired connection keeps the picture steady.
- The guide lists program titles, so you can jump straight to a specific show.
- Keep the player app updated; guide fixes arrive through updates.
