Setup guide
Setting up Kodi on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max
Kodi runs on Amazon Fire OS, which makes it a natural fit for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Setup is install, sign in, wait for the list: about five minutes from start to your first channel with an Ultra 8K IPTV login.
- No contract
- 7-day refund
- Login in ~60s

Kodi is free to download. The Fire TV Stick 4K Max decodes 4K, so 4K feeds play at full resolution on a 4K screen. There's no contract and no card on file waiting to be charged again: plans are prepaid, with a 7-day refund window.
Before you start
- Your M3U playlist link and XMLTV guide link
- Developer options visible on the Fire TV (About > select the device name seven times)
- Plan on about 10 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 Mbps for each 4K stream
- A faster way to type: the Fire TV app on your phone has a keyboard
Installing Kodi
- Pick a plan length, send the order on WhatsApp, and keep the reply open: it holds the server URL, username and password.
- On the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, open Settings > My Fire TV > About and select the device name seven times. Developer options appears in the menu; you need it only if Kodi has to come through Downloader.
- Search for Kodi from the Fire TV home screen. If the Amazon Appstore doesn't list it, install the free Downloader app, allow it to install unknown apps, and enter the download address published by the Kodi developer.
- In Kodi, open Add-ons > Install from repository > PVR clients, install PVR IPTV Simple Client, then paste the M3U playlist URL and the XMLTV guide URL into its settings and restart Kodi.
- Give the first sync a couple of minutes, then hide the groups you never use and favorite the rest.
What you'll see on first launch
Kodi asks to restart after you configure the Simple Client. Channels then appear under TV in the main menu, and the guide grid fills in after the first EPG download.
Troubleshooting
- No channels under TV: open the Simple Client settings, confirm the M3U URL is saved, and restart Kodi.
- Kodi closes on its own: clear its cache, restart the Fire TV Stick 4K Max, and reinstall if it keeps happening.
- Guide off by an hour or more: check the Fire TV Stick 4K Max's time zone first, then the EPG offset in Kodi.
- Buffering on sports only: run a speed test on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Below about 25 Mbps, use the HD version of the channel.
Tune it for the Fire TV Stick 4K Max
- Clear the player's cache from the system app settings if the guide starts lagging.
- Close apps you are not using; sticks have limited memory.
- An Ethernet adapter is the biggest single upgrade for a stick on weak Wi-Fi.
- Guide refresh: set the EPG update interval in the Simple Client settings so listings never run dry.
