Setup guide
Setting up Bob Pro on the TCL Google TV
Short version: install Bob Pro, sign in with your Ultra 8K IPTV details, and let it load. The steps below cover the parts specific to the TCL Google TV, from where to find the app to the settings that keep 4K feeds smooth.
- No contract
- 7-day refund
- Login in ~60s

Bob Pro is a paid app; its fee goes to the developer, separately from your IPTV plan. Whether it plays 4K depends on the model, so check the spec sheet before choosing 4K feeds. You pay once for the plan length you choose; nothing renews on its own, and you have 7 days to ask for a refund.
Have these ready
- Your login from WhatsApp: server URL (with port), username and password
- Unknown apps allowed for Downloader, only if Google Play does not list the app
- Budget 10 Mbps per HD screen and 25 Mbps per 4K screen, then add headroom for everyone else online
- A faster way to type: the Google TV app on your phone has a keyboard
The setup, in order
- Pick a plan length, send the order on WhatsApp, and keep the reply open: it holds the server URL, username and password.
- Search Google Play for Bob Pro with the remote or the voice button and install it. Where Play doesn't carry it, Downloader can fetch it from the developer's site once unknown apps are allowed.
- Choose the Xtream Codes login in Bob Pro and enter the server URL (including http:// and the port), the username and the password exactly as sent.
- Wait for the first load to finish, open a channel to test it, and star the ones you watch most.
The first time you open it
Bob Pro shows a loading bar while it pulls the channel list, then opens on its home screen. Live TV, movies and series appear as separate sections, and the guide fills in over the next minute or two. On the TCL Google TV, the first load is the slowest.
Small tweaks, smoother playback
- Use the TV's Ethernet port when the router is close.
- Turn off motion smoothing if faces look plastic; leave it on for sports if you like the effect.
- Switch the picture mode to Standard or Sports for live games; Vivid looks harsh on compressed feeds.
- Parental lock: set a PIN and lock adult categories.
Troubleshooting
- "Invalid credentials": retype the server URL with http:// and the port, and check capital letters; the username and password are case-sensitive.
- Guide off by an hour or more: check the TCL Google TV's time zone first, then the EPG offset in Bob Pro.
- Bob Pro closes on its own: clear its cache, restart the TCL Google TV, and reinstall if it keeps happening.
- Channels but no guide: refresh the EPG in Bob Pro's settings, or give it a few minutes after the first sign-in.
