CGTN, live on every screen in the house
Yes, you can stream CGTN live without cable. It's one of 35,000+ channels on Ultra 8K IPTV, and it comes with every plan, from $24.99 for a single month.
- No contract
- 7-day refund
- Login in ~60s
A news channel, CGTN is the place for breaking coverage, rolling daytime news and the prime-time hours built around big anchors. Send your order on WhatsApp and the connection details for your device come back in roughly 60 seconds. You pay once for the plan length you choose; nothing renews on its own, and you have 7 days to ask for a refund.
CGTN at a glance
- Where to find it: the News group in your channel list
- Picture: HD as standard, 4K on feeds where the broadcaster supplies it
- Guide: now-and-next listings from an EPG that covers about 99% of channels
- Catch-up: up to 7 days back where the channel supports it
- Price: part of every plan, from $10.42/month on the yearly option
CGTN viewing tips
- Group two or three news channels in favorites so you can compare coverage during a big story.
- Use catch-up for the evening show you missed; it's quicker than hunting for clips online.
- Election nights and major events pull heavy traffic; a wired connection keeps the picture steady.
- Restart the player after a long session if the guide stops scrolling smoothly.
Finding CGTN in your player
Once you sign in, the player sorts channels into groups. CGTN sits under News; typing the first few letters into search gets you there faster than scrolling. The guide row shows what's on now and what's next, and a long press on the channel (or the menu button, depending on the app) adds it to favorites.
From order to CGTN in three steps
Order first: the WhatsApp message with your login comes back in roughly 60 seconds. Next, install a player on the screen you watch most. Then type in the server URL, username and password exactly as sent. The list loads in a minute or two, and CGTN is a search away.
Next to CGTN in the guide
If CGTN is on your list, Cheddar News, NewsNation, NBC News Now, and Fox Business probably belong there too. Every Ultra 8K IPTV plan carries them at no extra cost.
If CGTN won't play
- Spinning wheel, then nothing: switch to another channel and back. If others play and CGTN doesn't, refresh the playlist from the player settings.
- Wrong program in the guide: check the device's time zone, then the EPG offset setting in the player.
- Plays for a minute, then freezes: run a speed test on the TV itself. Under about 25 Mbps, choose the HD version of the channel instead of 4K.
