Setting up TiviMate on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max

The setup, in order

- Search for TiviMate from the Fire TV home screen. If the Amazon Appstore doesn't list it, install the free Downloader app, allow it to install unknown apps, and enter the download address published by the TiviMate developer.
- Choose the Xtream Codes login in TiviMate and enter the server URL (including http:// and the port), the username and the password exactly as sent.
- Let TiviMate download the channel list and guide (a minute or two the first time), then add your regular channels to favorites.
Settings that help on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max
- An Ethernet adapter is the biggest single upgrade for a stick on weak Wi-Fi.
- Use the HDMI extender that came in the box if the port is cramped; it helps Wi-Fi reception and heat.
- Clear the player's cache from the system app settings if the guide starts lagging.
