Setup guide
Setting up KTN Player on the Chromebook
KTN Player runs on Android, which makes it a natural fit for the Chromebook. Setup is install, sign in, wait for the list: about five minutes from start to your first channel with an Ultra 8K IPTV login.
- No contract
- 7-day refund
- Login in ~60s

KTN Player is a paid app; its fee goes to the developer, separately from your IPTV plan. Resolution depends on the screen: HD is plenty on a phone or laptop, and 4K is worth it only on a 4K monitor or TV. Choose a plan, message us on WhatsApp, and expect your login details in about a minute.
Have these ready
- Your login from WhatsApp: server URL (with port), username and password
- Enough free space for the app and its guide data
- Plan on about 10 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 Mbps for each 4K stream
The setup, in order
- Order on WhatsApp from the buy page. Your login details come back in the same chat, usually within a minute.
- Open the Play Store on the Chromebook and install KTN Player; it runs as an Android app in its own window.
- Select Add user or Add playlist in KTN Player, choose Xtream Codes, and fill in the three fields from your login message: server URL with its port, username, password.
- Wait for the first load to finish, open a channel to test it, and star the ones you watch most.
The first time you open it
Expect a short wait on first sign-in while KTN Player downloads the playlist and guide. Then you'll see channel groups by category and country; open one, highlight a channel, and the guide shows what's on now and next.
Troubleshooting
- "Invalid credentials": retype the server URL with http:// and the port, and check capital letters; the username and password are case-sensitive.
- Channels but no guide: refresh the EPG in KTN Player's settings, or give it a few minutes after the first sign-in.
- Buffering on sports only: run a speed test on the Chromebook. Below about 25 Mbps, use the HD version of the channel.
- Picture but no sound: set the Chromebook's audio output to stereo or PCM; some soundbars refuse surround passthrough from IPTV feeds.
Settings that help on the Chromebook
- Use Ethernet for 4K on a desktop or docked laptop.
- Keep VLC installed as a backup player for testing the stream.
- Connect to a TV over HDMI for a bigger picture with the same app.
- Buffer: a medium buffer of about 2 to 3 seconds smooths short dips without adding much delay.
