Setting up Family Player 4K on the Fire TV smart TV

Installing Family Player 4K

- Open Family Player 4K on the TV and write down the MAC address and device key it shows on the start screen.
- On the Family Player 4K website, enter that MAC and device key, add your playlist (M3U link or Xtream details), then restart the app on the TV.
- Give the first sync a couple of minutes, then hide the groups you never use and favorite the rest.
After you sign in
After you add the playlist online and restart Family Player 4K, the TV shows your playlist name and starts loading channels. The first load on TV hardware can take a couple of minutes; after that, live TV, movies and series open from the home screen.
Troubleshooting
- Playlist missing after you added it online: confirm the MAC on the website matches the one on screen, then restart Family Player 4K.
- Buffering on sports only: run a speed test on the Fire TV smart TV. Below about 25 Mbps, use the HD version of the channel.
- Picture but no sound: set the Fire TV smart TV's audio output to stereo or PCM; some soundbars refuse surround passthrough from IPTV feeds.
- Family Player 4K closes on its own: clear its cache, restart the Fire TV smart TV, and reinstall if it keeps happening.
Small tweaks, smoother playback
- Install TV software updates; the app store serves builds matched to your firmware.
- Turn off motion smoothing if faces look plastic; leave it on for sports if you like the effect.
- Switch the picture mode to Standard or Sports for live games; Vivid looks harsh on compressed feeds.
