How parental locks work

Most players let you set a PIN, then lock whole groups, such as adult categories, or single channels. Set the PIN first, then choose what to lock. The lock lives in the app on that device, so repeat it on each screen children use. To unlock a channel, enter the PIN when asked or remove the lock in the same menu.

Step by step

  • Open the settings. Go to the settings menu in your player and find Parental control.
  • Set a PIN. Choose a PIN nobody else in the house knows.
  • Lock groups. Lock adult and late-night groups as a whole; it is faster than locking channels one by one.
  • Lock on-demand too. Check the Movies and Series sections, which often have their own lock setting.
  • Repeat per device. Do the same on every device children use, since locks don’t sync between screens.
