Recording and catch-up

Step by step

  • Check catch-up first. Open the guide and look for the catch-up icon on past programs.
  • Pick a recording player. If you need recordings, use a player that supports them, such as TiviMate Premium.
  • Choose storage. Add a USB drive or a network folder; internal storage on sticks fills up fast.
  • Set the path. For a network folder, enter the share path and a username with write access.
  • Schedule from the guide. Select a future program in the guide and choose Record.

Where recordings go

Streaming sticks have little free storage, so point recordings at a USB drive through an OTG adapter or at a network folder (an SMB share) on a computer or NAS. The share must allow writing, and the path usually looks like smb://computer-name/share. If the app refuses the folder, check the username, password and write permission on the share.

Is this a setting on my IPTV plan?

No. It’s handled by the player app on each device. Your Ultra 8K IPTV plan provides the channels, guide and on-demand library; the app decides how they are shown.

Do settings carry over to my other devices?

Usually not. Favorites, locks and hidden groups are saved per device unless the player offers a backup or cloud sync.

Which player has the most features?

Will an update reset my settings?

Why can’t I find the option?

Menus differ between players and versions. Update the app first; if the option still isn’t there, the player may not offer it, and another player that takes the same login might.
