On a MAG box, “programming” the box means registering its MAC address with the provider and entering the portal URL under Settings > Servers > Portals. On an Android box, it means installing a player and adding the login.

- Google TV or Android TV certification, so Google Play and security updates work.
- At least 2 GB of memory and 8 GB of storage for a big playlist and guide.
- An Ethernet port for steady live sports.
- 4K HDR decoding if your TV is 4K.
In practice
- Connect the box. Plug it into the TV’s HDMI port and, ideally, into the router with Ethernet.
- Install or open the player. Install a player such as TiviMate or IPTV Smarters Pro, or open the built-in portal app.
- Add the login. Enter the Xtream Codes details, the M3U link or the portal URL.

- Organize channels. Hide groups you don’t watch and build a favorites list.
