TiviMate User Guide, Screen by Screen

First sign-in

TiviMate opens on an empty screen and asks for a playlist. It signs in with an Xtream Codes login (server URL, username and password), with an M3U link as the fallback. Enter the details exactly as sent and give it a minute or two to load the channels and the guide; the first load is the slowest.

The main screens

  • The main screen is a cable-style guide grid, with channel groups along the side.
  • Long-press OK on a channel for options such as favorites, hiding and reminders.
  • The settings menu holds Playlists, Playback, Appearance and EPG options.
  • Recording, catch-up and multiple playlists unlock with TiviMate Premium.

Settings to check

  • Guide update: set it to refresh once a day.
  • Buffer: choose a medium buffer if live TV stutters.
  • Decoder: leave it on hardware unless a channel shows black.
  • Hidden groups: hide countries and categories you will never watch.
  • Parental lock: set a PIN before children use the app.

Setting up TiviMate properly

  • Sign in. Add the Xtream Codes details or M3U link in TiviMate.
  • Let the guide load. Wait for the first channel and guide download to finish.
  • Tidy the list. Hide the groups you won’t watch.
  • Pick favorites. Add your regular channels to favorites so they sit at the top.
  • Check playback settings. Set the buffer and decoder if anything stutters.
  • Back up the setup. Save a settings backup if the app offers one.
