SportsNet LA, live on every screen in the house

Watching SportsNet LA live takes an Ultra 8K IPTV plan, a player app and a steady internet line. The channel is part of the plan; nothing in the lineup is sold channel by channel.

Regional Sports (RSN)

A regional sports network from the Spectrum family, SportsNet LA is the place for local team broadcasts and the pregame and postgame shows built around them. Activation runs over WhatsApp: order, pay, and the credentials follow in around 60 seconds. Plans are prepaid and never auto-renew, and you have 7 days to ask for your money back.

SportsNet LA: the essentials

  • Where to find it: the Regional Sports (RSN) group in your channel list
  • Network family: Spectrum
  • Picture: HD as standard, 4K on feeds where the broadcaster supplies it
  • Guide: now-and-next listings from an EPG that covers about 99% of channels
  • Catch-up: up to 7 days back where the channel supports it
  • Price: part of every plan, from $10.42/month on the yearly option

Up and running in about five minutes

Order first: the WhatsApp message with your login comes back in roughly 60 seconds. Next, install a player on the screen you watch most. Then type in the server URL, username and password exactly as sent. The list loads in a minute or two, and SportsNet LA is a search away.

Getting more out of SportsNet LA

  • When both teams' regional feeds carry a game, each has its own broadcast crew, so pick the voices you prefer.
  • Search the guide by team name to see which regional channel has tonight's game.
  • Favorite the regional feed for each team you follow, not just the one nearest you.
  • Keep the player app updated; guide and playback fixes arrive through updates.

Finding SportsNet LA in your player

Expect a grid: categories down the left, channels in the middle, guide data on the right. SportsNet LA lives in the Regional Sports (RSN) category. Pin it to favorites and it appears on the first screen every time you open the app, ahead of the thousands of channels you'll never need to scroll past.

Next to SportsNet LA in the guide

Monumental Sports Network, FanDuel Sports Network Midwest, FanDuel Sports Network North, and MSG Sportsnet sit in the same regional sports (RSN) group, and all of them come with the same Ultra 8K IPTV plan. The group page lists the rest.

If SportsNet LA won't play

  • Wrong program in the guide: check the device's time zone, then the EPG offset setting in the player.
  • Sound but no picture: switch the player's decoder between hardware and software in its settings.
  • "Authorization failed": re-enter the login exactly as sent, including http:// and the port in the server URL.

FAQ

Questions people ask us

Not covered here? Send it on WhatsApp and a person on the support desk will answer, any hour of the day.

Is SportsNet LA included in every Ultra 8K IPTV plan?

Yes. All 4 plans carry SportsNet LA along with the rest of the 35,000+ channels. Nothing is priced channel by channel, so there's no add-on to buy.

Can I watch SportsNet LA on a TV without a cable box?

Yes. Any device that runs an IPTV player will do: Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV boxes, Apple TV, smart TVs from Samsung and LG, phones and computers. Roku is the odd one out because it can't install Android apps, so Roku owners usually mirror from a phone or add a streaming stick.

What internet speed does SportsNet LA need?

Plan on about 10 Mbps for each HD stream and 25 Mbps for each 4K stream. Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi keeps the picture steady when the rest of the house is online.

Does SportsNet LA show up in the TV guide?

The lineup's EPG covers about 99% of channels, so SportsNet LA normally shows the current program, its end time and what's next. If listings look off, check the time zone on your device.

Can I watch SportsNet LA on my phone away from home?

Yes. Install the same player on your phone and sign in with the same details. A plan plays on one screen at a time as standard, and one order can cover up to 3 screens at once.
