What you'll see on screen
Expect a grid: categories down the left, channels in the middle, guide data on the right. Investigation Discovery lives in the Crime & Investigation category. Pin it to favorites and it appears on the first screen every time you open the app, ahead of the thousands of channels you'll never need to scroll past.
Investigation Discovery viewing tips
- Episodes run back to back for hours; the guide tells you where a block ends.
- Lock the group behind a PIN if younger viewers use the same TV.
- Overnight runs are easy to pick up the next day through catch-up.
- Restart the player after a long session if the guide stops scrolling smoothly.
Getting Investigation Discovery on your TV
Order first: the WhatsApp message with your login comes back in roughly 60 seconds. Next, install a player on the screen you watch most. Then type in the server URL, username and password exactly as sent. The list loads in a minute or two, and Investigation Discovery is a search away.
If Investigation Discovery won't play
- Spinning wheel, then nothing: switch to another channel and back. If others play and Investigation Discovery doesn't, refresh the playlist from the player settings.
- Sound but no picture: switch the player's decoder between hardware and software in its settings.
- "Authorization failed": re-enter the login exactly as sent, including http:// and the port in the server URL.
More in Crime & Investigation
Oxygen True Crime, Court TV, and True Crime Network sit in the same crime & investigation group, and all of them come with the same Ultra 8K IPTV plan. The group page lists the rest.
